Mr. Kingsley Ong is a Partner at Eversheds Sutherland, and heads the firm’s Structured Finance and Restructuring/Insolvency practices in Asia. He is also a Senior Fellow of CFRED at CUHK LAW. Mr. Ong has structured many of the most significant award winning structured finance transactions in the market today, and he also has extensive experience unwinding complex financial contracts. He also sits as arbitrator, with particular expertise in resolving complex financial contract disputes. The 2008 global financial crisis exposed the huge leverage in the financial system. This current crisis, originating from the COVID-19 global pandemic, has the potential to become an even greater financial crisis than 2008.
