Mr. Gilbert Lee is Head of Strategy & Planning and Chief of Staff to Chief Executive in Hang Seng Bank and is a member of the Bank’s Executive Committee, Asset & Liability Management Committee and Risk Management Committee.
Gilbert leads corporate strategy, corporate development & M&A, innovation, Greater Bay Area (“GBA”) business development and CEO Office. Among other corporate innovation initiatives, he leads the Bank’s efforts in thought leadership and advocacy of Central Bank Digital Currency (“CBDC”). Gilbert recently won for the Bank a Central Bank Digital Currency award by the HKMA in 2022.
Gilbert is a frequent speaker on strategy, innovation and GBA. He serves on the Advisory Committee for CUHK Engineering FinTech Applied Research Academy. He earned an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Science in Business Economics (Dean’s List) from CUHK, and is a Certified Chief Innovation Officer, a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA, FCMA).
