Roger Brownsword, who is a graduate of the London School of Economics, took up his first academic appointment in 1968. Currently, he has professorial positions in Law at King’s College London (where he was the founding Director of TELOS) and at Bournemouth University. His many books and articles are known throughout the English-speaking world; and, he also has publications in Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese. His most recent books are: Law, Technology and Society: Reimagining the Regulatory Environment (2019), Law 3.0: Rules, Regulation and Technology (2020), Rethinking Law, Regulation and Technology (2022), Technology, Governance and Respect for Law: Pictures at an Exhibition (2022) and Law, Regulation and Governance in the Information Society (co-edited with Maurizio Borghi) (2023). His next book, Law’s Imperfect Governance should be published later this year. He was a member of the Law panel for REF2014 in Hong Kong and he is the founding general editor (with Han Somsen) of Law, Innnovation and Technology as well as being on the editorial board of international journals, including the Modern Law Review , the International Journal of Law and Information Technology, and the Journal of Law and the Biosciences.
