Leon Yang is working on his Ph.D. at the Division of Emerging Interdisciplinary Areas (EMIA) and conducting research in the Center for Metaverse and Computational Creativity at HKUST. With a professional background in the ICT industry, especially in the VR/AR sector over the last decade, his research aims to contribute to the mechanisms of human-computer-environment interaction, the philosophy of mind, and psychological presence in the physical-digital-mixed worlds, as well as explore the governance of the related disruptive technologies, and their effects on society for the upcoming Metaverse era.
