Kai von Lewinski is a full Professor and holds the Chair for Public Law, Media and Information Law at the Faculty of Law at Passau University, Bavaria, Germany since 2014. He is vice dean of his faculty, senator of the University, and used to be head (“Sprecher“) of the research training group “Privacy and Digitalisation” (DFG-Graduiertenkolleg 1681/2 “Privatheit und Digitalisierung”) until 2021. He organised a conference on “Immersive Journalism – Technology, Impact, Regulation” (“Immersiver Journalismus – Technik, Wirkung, Regulierung”) in Passau in 2018.
Before coming to Passau, he was a deputy professor at Humboldt University, Berlin, and had worked as a lawyer for an international law firm in Frankfurt and Berlin.
