Dr. Song HUANG – Deputy Director for Administration, National Institute of Biological Science, Beijing

Dr. Song Huang

Dr. Song Huang is an accomplished scientist and academician with expertise in anti-aging research and synthetic biology. He graduated from Peking University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, followed by a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas Medical Center in 2010. Currently, Dr. Huang holds the positions of Deputy Director of Administration and Director of Synthetic Biology Center at the National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing (NIBS).

Dr. Huang has made significant contributions to the establishment of highly efficient and innovative operational mechanisms of the institute, positioning it as a model for next generation research and development entity in China. He has also pioneered the exploration of mechanisms for translating basic research paper into pharmaceutical industry pipelines, resulting in the founding of multiple leading drug companies in China, including Beigene Inc. and Huahui Health Inc.

Recognized for his accomplishments, Dr. Huang was selected for the esteemed Beijing “Oversea Talent” program in 2017 and holds the Elite HiTech Professional title awarded through the Beijing Municipal Authorities.
