Abstract:
Directive No. 32-CT / TW of December 9, 2003 of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat (Session IX) on strengthening the Party’s leadership in law dissemination and education; raising sense of law observance of officials and people; identifying legal education as a part of the work of political ideological education, which is the task of the entire political system under the leadership of the Party. The policy of building a socialist rule-of-law State of the people, by the people and for the people of the Party is institutionalized in the Constitution, which requires the spirit of rule of law. “Living and working according to the Constitution and the law” must become the actual action of each member of the society.
The process of deeper and deeper international integration also requires the law to be transparent, open and strictly enforced. The promulgation of the Law on Legal Dissemination and Education has brought the law dissemination and education work to a higher, more complete and comprehensive level. With the role and importance of the work of law dissemination and education in the new situation, the article will focus on summarizing, analyzing and pointing out the inadequacies in the current provisions of Vietnamese law on legal dissemination and education. Besides, the article also mentioned the activities of legal dissemination and education of some countries in the world. Thereby, making appropriate recommendations to be able to resolve some of the inadequacies in Vietnam.
