The Future of Legal Education in Hong Kong

Abstract:
This paper argues that Hong Kong ought to be proud of the quality of its three Law Schools and the legal education they offer; in particular the PCLL offers the most advanced practitioner focused training globally. There is a need to be more assertive in promoting these strengths. They can be built upon by greater co-operation between the Law Schools and with International partners. Hong Kong should also take advantage of being part of China both in terms of research and when thinking about the future careers of its students.
