Prof. Sai Ming NGAI – Principal Consultant, OM Sciences Co Ltd.

Prof. Sai Ming Ngai obtained his PhD in Biochemistry from University of Alberta, Canada.  His laboratory first identified GmPHD5 can act as an important regulator for crosstalk between histone H3K4 di-methylation and H3K14 acetylation in response to salinity stress in soybean and demonstrated the mass spectrometry analysis of the variants of histone H3 and H4 and their posttranslational modifications (PTMs) in soybean varieties that published in BMC Plant Biol (2011 and 2009). His team is capable of handling proteomics, peptidomics and metabolomics and biosensor related researches on clinical samples (serum), herbs, jellyfish and soybean samples (salt-tolerant and salt-sensitive). Recently, he has successfully established high-throughput Top-down proteomics platform on PTMs studies for intact histone proteins.
