Since its launch at CUHK LAW in 2020, the Machine Lawyering Conference has established itself as a leading international forum at the intersection of law and digital technology. It enjoys a strong reputation across Asia and beyond, drawing participants from around the world. Experts contribute to a rich discourse by presenting research and engaging with peers on a wide range of topics, from the legal challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI) to data and platform governance. This vibrant exchange has fostered dynamic cross-pollination of ideas among attendees.
In keeping with its commitment to advancing these conversations and staying abreast of technological change, CUHK LAW’s Centre for Legal Innovation and Digital Society (CLINDS) will host the Sixth Machine Lawyering Conference on 21–22 May 2026. The conference will focus on the legal challenges arising from the rapidly evolving landscape of digital technologies.
